Patrick CHARTOL has always been attracted by world music.
Besides a classical formation (first Prize in Excellence at the Conservatory) he has an ever widening taste in jazz and electronic music.

ORIENT
He lived in Turkey for four years, during this time he :
Worked for SERTAB ERENER (Turkish Diva and winner of the Eurovision song contest in 2001)
Did live remix in Istanbul with many bands including LACO TAYFA (BOOKLYN FUNK ESSENTIAL/Double Moon)
Member of the experimental rock group NEKROPSI
Created the group RONG DONU with 6 Turkish gypsies, the percussionist of HAREM and an Indian SInger.

BALKANS
In Romania he collaborated in the recording of the last live cd/dvd of the TARAF DE HAIDOUK (Band of Gypsies / Crammed disc).

AFRICA
He worked with the kora player and singer LASSANA KOUYATE, played bass for RAY LEMA (FATOU LA MALIENNE 2) and worked for the percussionist BIMANGO.

CUBA
He composed the music of the film “Sans kapiyi kirinca” and worked with Cuban musicians and the famous pianist ALFREDO RODRIGUEZ.

ASIA
Under the name AUTTOMANN, he realised and composed the album “You Xiang Zhu” with Chinese and Korean singers .

SOUTH AMERICA
In 2005 he did a one month tour in Brazil with the Brazilian trombonist RAUL DE SOUZA. With him he regularly performs (jazz festivals, clubs like Duc des Lombards)

OCCIDENT (FRANCE)
In 2003 he teamed up with Claire Michel and J-M Vallet to create the group AFTER IN PARIS
In 2005 he composed the music of the film "Emmenez Moi" starring CHARLES AZNAVOUR and GERARD DARMON.
In 2006 he composed music for the latest advertisement for "Neuf Telecom" and a demo of the plug-in MOTU ETHNO INSTRUMENTS for Univers-sons.
